In this week of news for the leading ladies of Hollywood, Britney Spears and her boyfriend, Sam Asghari are expecting their first child together. Britney’s pregnancy with her third child comes after being freed from her father’s 13 year long conservatorship in November of 2021.
Selena Gomez, also moving on and up, debuted her new website, WonderMind. A media ecosystem where mental fitness is proudly discussed and exercised, Gomez and her mother hope to dismantle harmful stereotypes.
Jennifer Lopez and her old flame turned new, Ben Affleck celebrated their engagement over the weekend. Affleck declared his love for the A-lister with a rare naturally green diamond, a color Jennifer believes she wears in her life when amazing things happen.
On a less celebratory note, our Twitter feeds still seem to be cluttered with the infamous slap at the Oscars, and the drama only continues. This week, a video resurfaced of Jada Pinkett Smith opening up about her marriage to Will Smith back in 2018. In the old interview, she said, “I really didn’t wanna get married,” and added that her mother forced her to after she and Will had their first child together.
The Kid’s Choice Awards were also this week, and surprisingly, JoJo Siwa was not invited despite being nominated. Siwa is famous for her work with Nickelodeon, and fans were confused when she didn’t make an appearance. Siwa later announced that she wasn’t invited and isn’t sure why, but adds, “Somebody tagged me in something — they used my song ‘One Chance.’ My song made the cut, but not me.”
Our final buzz of the week, and yet another celebratory moment, is awarded to Pamela Anderson. She made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, the Tony Award winning musical. She was given a standing ovation at the show’s end, and the stage door was swarmed by fans eager to meet her. After the world got to see the way Anderson was treated in Hulu’s Pam and Tommy, it’s good to see her return to the spotlight.
